The location of this place was fantastic, just a short walk away from an outdoor plaza.

We had a fantastic stay at a well-maintained hotel with spacious rooms and a secure atmosphere. The location was perfect, with churches and museums just a short distance away. The friendly and helpful staff made our visit even more enjoyable. Plus, the pool on the 13th floor provided a great place to relax. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in downtown Medellin.

Hotel{s lory days are way behind. It has the feel of the 1960 hotel and it shows. Downtown Medellin is not a bit seedy and perhaps crime prone, it just did not feel safe or touristic. Breakfast was poor, unedible in fact. For the same money one can stay at much modern and better located hotels such as El Poblado Alejandria.

stayed at gh gran hotel - downtown for valentine's day in medellin. rooms were old but in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. hotel staff was helpful in organizing transport and other requests.

Security cameras didn't cover entrance doors to the rooms.

This hotel is a termendous value!!! It is not a 5 star hotel, maybe more like a 3 or 4 star hotel -- but the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, facilities were nice and in decent condition and it was close to the main part of downtown. I requested a bouquet of flowers for my wife to be in our room upon arrrival and to our surprise it was a bouquet of a dozen red roses!!! If you are use to staying at Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and Sheraton hotels you likely will not like this hotel. But, if you stay at Hampton, Days Inn, Motel 6, etc. then this is diffently a step up for you at a price you normally pay.

The restaurant was just ok -- not the best in terms of food, decor or ambiance.

Stayed 2 nights, staff was super friendly from when you first come in the parking lot they welcome you in. Nice view from the balcony. Great job informing us about tourist areas. Shuttles available. Rooms are old but in good condition. Comfortable bed. Contact with hotel before the trip was easy and helpful. Hotel Gran is in a nice location. 24-hour restaurant next door. Safe to walk to at night. Appreciated the luggage storage and bellhop service.

Coveniently located in the center of Medellin. Easy access to subway station. No frills and very friendly staff.

No air conditioning although for the weather in Medelling we didn't actually need one there were "some" times we wished we would have.
